Akademos, an E-journal with ISSN - 2583-2875, published by Department of English, Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University is related to the variegated nature and different enquiries in the field of literature and culture.It is Indexed, Peer Reviwed and Bi-Annual in nature. The scope of the journal incorporates English literary and cultural Studies with all possible aspects of multidisciplinary domains. Akademos envisages to be a classic example of strict adherence and expansion of rigid scholarship which bears a strong legacy of critical engagement of the works done in the past. At the same time, the journal will also seek to go beyond the familiar by investigating emerging cultural representations and socio-political developments, and formulating new theoretical frameworks through which one might seek to understand better the changing paradigm of the present.
As per Greek Mythology, Akademos is the sacred habitat of Athena, the goddess of wisdom, which later becomes popular as a grove of trees within which Plato gave his lectures. Let this E-journal be the site of such a serious, honest, interdisciplinary quest.
Akademos aims to provide a space for researchers, scholars and academicians for publishing research papers and academic dis courses involving several intersects of literary and cultural studies.
It also aims to create a space for exchanges of knowledge and experiences amomg all its stake holders.
Akademos is a non-profit and voluntary initiative of SKB University, aimed solely for presentation, representation and circulation of academic research. Submitted articles will be selected only on the basis of merit by a process of Double Blind Single Peer Reviewing by subject experts.
The scope of the E-journal Akademos encompasses multifaceted socio-cultural and political aspects of literature, as well as cultural formulation of socio-political and literary representations.
Akademos offers a dedicated section for translation and translation studies along with other academic discourses like Book Review and Interview.
